Panichishte is situated in the Rila mountain about 10 km southeast of the town of Sapareva Banya. The resort village of Panichishte is situated among beautiful and old coniferous forests in the Rila Mountains. There are many recreational facilities, chalets, spa hotels and pro-paths, ski-lifts with a good track. Panichishte is the starting point for hiking routes for the huts Pionerska, Lovna, Skakavitsa, Vada, Rila Lakes, 7 Lakes and others. In the area is also the lowest glacial lake in Rila - Dry Lake.
