Chalet Jean is a 7 bedroom, 7 bathroom chalet we offer on a catered half board basis as well as a self catered basis and it is situated in the ever popular Les Balcons de Val Thorens complex, which has a south-facing aspect in the higher part of snow-sure Val Thorens. The residence is located on the slopes with door-step skiing (for intermediate skiers) and is a short 500m walk from the bustling centre of Val Thorens centre.
Val Thorens is a semi-pedestrian ski resort, meaning you can drive through the resort and unload your luggage at your chosen apartment or hotel and then you must park your vehicle in the residences car park or one of the public car parks in the resort, you are not allowed to park in the street. Les Balcons de Val Thorens has underground parking (payable, max height 2.08m) or you can use one of the public outdoor or covered car parks (payable & pre-bookable).
Built in traditional, rustic wood & stone, the résidence has a range of comfortable apartments fitted to a good standard with fully equipped kitchens including satellite TV and a balcony. Guests have complimentary access to the excellent 900m2 Spa with swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and fitness room. Also on-site are two restaurants, a bar with panoramic terrace and a small supermarket with bakery. We have it on great authority too that The Red Fox located in Les Balcons is a super local pub for families at the end of the day.
Les Balcons consists of a cluster of 6 chalets forming its own hamlet, all buildings are traditionally built using wood and stone and offer exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Chalet Jean is a 7 bedroom apartment which can sleep up to 16 people and is quite spacious at 190m2. In the chalet you will find 7 twin or double bedrooms almost all en suite with 7 bathrooms with a whirlpool bath & 7 WCs. The welcoming living area with its welcoming wood burner, is open plan to the well equipped kitchen and dining area for up to 16 people. Our chef is one of the best you will find anywhere and therefore our catering is of a high standard so we do recommend the catered half board option with pretty much unlimited wine and beer, though there is a cheaper half board option at one of the restaurants on site if you want more standard fayre and no drinks included.
