Set in a quiet residential area in the attractive Morel area above Méribel Centre, this was the former private home of the owner, so great care has gone into its style and upkeep.
The five spacious bedrooms are nicely spaced out across four floors, are classically furnished all have en-suite facilities. The cosy living/dining-room is at the heart of the whole chalet, windows on two sides, one opening onto a small balcony, make it feel bright and airy, with a stone wood burning fireplace adding to the overall atmosphere. The views from the terrace are spectacular, there’s a wood burning fireplace in the lounge and conveniently you can ski to less than 50m from the chalet.Free WiFi is available throughout the chalet.
The Morel chair lift is only three minutes’ walk away, which takes you to the Altiport for excellent links to the Three Valleys. On your return at the end of the day, a blue run from the Altiport brings you back close to the chalet. Alternatively, there is a ski-bus stop 200m from the chalet for the short bus ride to and from the lifts at Rond Point and in the centre of Meribel. In the evening its about a 10 minute walk to the centre and all its bars and nightlife.
The traditional, detached chalet sleeps a max of 10 and is available on a catered basis. Every morning you can have a hearty breakfast prepared your chalet hosts. They will also do hot breakfast options for six days if you want. For 6 days they will prepare homemade afternoon tea and cake and for 6 nights you will have your pre dinner drinks before your four-course meals. There is unlimited wine and beer on 6 nights too. Whats not to like!!

1.We stayed at the Chalet in March 2019. The chalet was a perfect location for us wanting to get out onto the slopes quickly without having to take shuttles etc as it is suituated a quick walk from the Morel Lift which takes you directly onto a green run that can lead back to the centre. Just another quick walk up from the chalet is the bus stop, which can take you directly down to town to collect your skis or up to the take aways and the Rond Point for some Apres drinks. Will 100% be looking to book again for this years ski trip!
2.I stayed here over Christmas 2018. Harriet our host made sure we had a huge xmas dinner with all the trimmings, xmas pudding, with fizz to celebrate and a table covered in crackers and a room with balloons! I was pleasantly surprised at how much space there was in my chalet room, compared to average chalets rooms. It was nice and bright too with a door onto a balcony and an en-suite bathroom with lots of hot water. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the traditional furnishings, apparently a lot of the furniture was from the chalet owners family. So many chalets are going contemporary and modern where this ones sticks to its traditional chalet charm.
I have stayed in Meribel before and was concerned I would need multiples bus’s or a taxi to get around everywhere so really pleased to find the chalet just a 2 minute walk to the Morel chairlift which took us up to the Altiport to start skiing, which was perfect for us as we had friends staying in Courchevel which made it super quick to get over to them. It was a 10 minute stroll into Meribel centre for the Tavern bar, so would walk down and take the bus back which runs to late. Also after skiing we would ski to Ronnies at the Rond Point for apres ski. After, it was a direct bus in minutes back to the chalet – loved that it was so convenient to Ronnies.
On the chalet host night off there was a number of restaurants in the Morel area that we could walk to within 5 mins (pizza, Indian, Savoyard). Lovely warm welcome in the pizzeria. On one day when we didn't do the apres ski, we did ski back to the chalet on a blue run that arrived at the bottom of the Morel chairlift.
I would definitely return to this chalet when staying in Meribel next as the access to skiing is easy and access to all of Meribel is easy too, plus the food was good and plenty of it.
