As well as being perfectly placed for the outdoor life being located on Route du Palais des Sports, Chalet Bella is just a short walk from all the bars, restaurants and shops of Morzine, so when you get back from an active day in the mountains, you don't have far to go to enjoy the evening. A five-minute walk will bring you to the heart of village life, as well as the tourist office.
In the summer, enjoy river walks, tennis and horse riding just a few steps from your door, as well as swimming, treetop adventures and street hockey in the Parc Dereches.
And when you return you can enjoy the evening sunshine on the wraparound balcony or head out for a meal at one of Morzine's many popular restaurants.
About the property ...
You'll enter the chalet via the ski room with laundry facilities and an extra fridge freezer - you can store your skis here and pop your boots on the heated rack before heading up to the living area. There's also a double bedroom on this floor with plenty of storage, a wall-mounted TV, an en suite bathroom and a separate toilet.
The welcoming living area is on the first floor - the practical open-plan kitchen has a large five-ring gas hob, and there are two full-size ovens - great when you're cooking for a crowd. There's also a fridge freezer, a microwave and a dishwasher.
The large dining table, which has plenty of room for everyone to eat together, separates this from the cosy seating area, where comfortable sofas are arranged around the wall-mounted TV. Doors open from here on to the sunny balcony, which has views over the river to the village and mountains beyond.
There's another bedroom on this floor - a spacious double room with good storage, a TV and an adjacent bathroom. This bedroom opens on to the balcony - a great place to start your day with a coffee. There's also a separate shower room on this floor.
You'll find three more bedrooms on the upper mezzanine floor, which overlooks the living area. The first room has three single beds, the next has twin beds and the third has a king size bed which can be arranged as two single beds. The last two rooms each have a handbasin.
There's plenty of parking right outside the chalet - a real plus for a chalet that's so close to all the facilities of Morzine, but in such a great location, you will probably just park up your car and forget about it for the duration of your stay.
About the area ...
The Super Morzine ski lift and ski bus stop are just a five-minute walk away, as is the centre of the village, with a great choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
If you're visiting in winter, Chalet Bellanis is a great base from which to explore the Portes du Soleil. With 650km of pistes, almost 200 lifts and a huge choice of cross-country skiing, you’ll never be bored of this winter sports paradise. The resorts cross the Franco-Swiss border, so you can ski into Switzerland for lunch? But be careful which route you choose - the moguls of the Swiss Wall piste will challenge even the most experienced skiers.
If you’re not a skier, or if you fancy a change from the slopes, you can try snowmobiling, ice-diving, or tandem paragliding. If you’d rather discover the area in a more sedate manner, try a sleigh ride.
Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park just a short walk from the chalet offers a variety of tree-top activities for all ages.
When the snow melts, the slopes around Morzine become a haven for walkers, mountain bikers and thrill-seekers - and the lifts will transport you and your bike up the mountains, leaving you to come back down at your leisure.
Morzine has earned Famille Plus status for its excellent childcare and entertainment - a perfect choice for families. Other activities include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, fishing, and kayaking. Don’t forget to visit the nearby village of Montriond, for lakeside walks and the beautiful Brochaux waterfalls.
