More than 30 cross-country ski trails also await you in the region. Other well-known ski areas in the immediate vicinity can be found in Obertauern, Fanningberg and on the Katschberg.
In summer, the Lungau also has a lot to offer active holidaymakers. You can hike, play golf and enjoy the many mountain bike routes. There is pure bathing fun in the Mauterndorf adventure pool, in the bathing island in Tamsweg or at the mountain lakes Trogalmsee and Schlierersee.
There are enough shops for daily needs right in the town, as well as a good selection of restaurants.
