Welcome to our self-catering holiday apartment in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps near Samoens in the Val du Giffre. The self contained apartment sleeps 4/5 and totals 52 sq.m. Comprising a modern dining kitchen with washing machine and fridge/freezer, shower room and separate toilet, large bedroom with twin beds plus a separate area with a single bed which can be screened off and a lounge/diner with a double bed/settee. For our smallest guests we can provide a cot. There is ample storage space including a small drying room. Outside we have private parking, and for our summer visitors a barbeque and garden area.
Situated in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps, the apartment is on the ground floor of our chalet which is in a rural setting in the Giffre Valley. Less than 1hr from Geneva airport and less than 5 minutes drive from the nearest ski station at Morillon, part of the Grand-Massif ski area, which includes Flaine, Samoens and Les Carroz.

Chalet Shenavall has a garden and barbecue area for the use of our guests. A baby sitting service is possible by arrangement.
Linen and towels are provided and gas and electricity are included. There are two supermarkets each within a five minute drive. We have a no smoking policy within the chalet.

About Morillon
The chalet is in the beautiful Giffre Valley and less than a ten minute drive from Samoens village, which is the only winter resort to be listed as a French "Monument Historique". From here the Grand-Massif Express Gondola takes you to Samoens 1600 and links to the whole of the Grand-Massis ski area.
The Grand-Massif ski area includes the resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoens, Morillon and Sixt. With it's 265 Km network of pistes it offers skiing for all abilities. From the challenge of the renowned Diamond Noir and Combe de Gers runs of Flaine to the beautifull and scenic Marvel run at Morillon. The latter, at 5km in length, being one of the longest green runs in Europe.
Even longer is the 14km Cascades blue run from the Grand Platieres at Flaine, to Sixt, from where a regular shuttle bus will take you back to Samoens. From the Grand Platieres with it's magnificent views of Mont Blanc the route takes you through areas of forest and high mountain pastures with the option of visiting the restaurant at Lac de Gers where you can lunch in picturesque surroundings.
Samoens has a variety of speciality shops and excellent restaurants, a market held weekly on a Wednesday and an internationally renowned Botanical Garden which celebrated it's centenary in September 2006.
As well as the excellent downhill skiing, the Haut-Giffre area offers many kilometres of telemark skiing on prepared trails and there is great scope for ski mountaineering and snowshoeing.
In summer the valley offers a full range of activities, including mountain biking, cycling, parapenting, white water rafting, horse riding, canyoning, rock climbing and via ferrata, as well as being a beautiful area for mountain walking, with many walks having spectacular views of the Mont Blanc Massif.
From Samoens the famous Col de Joux Plane road, often a stage in the Tour de France and only passable in the summer months, goes north to Morzine.
At the head of the Giffre valley is to be found the spectacular cirque of the Fer a Cheval, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Chamonix Valley, the historic town of Annecy and Lake Geneva are all within a one hour drive.
