A little over ten years ago Chalet Eve was built with reclaimed materials providing old world charm on the outside and classy modern new world comfort on the inside. The chalet situated in the Valley de la Manche, Morzine, in a quiet area but close to the Nyon telecabine. Bus route ‘E’ (Le Cret/Le Provion) stops just 70m from the front door for going into town or to the nearby Nyon lift in one direction or further up the valley for hiking, skiing and some excellent restaurants in the other. There is ample parking for several cars outside and a garage in which to keep bikes, sledges and skis.
Set over three floors the accommodation comprises five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Enter through a spacious hallway with plenty of room for hanging coats and storing shoes and boots and a handy bench seat. You’ll find the entrance to the garage on your left (also accessible from the generous outside parking space) with bike and ski racks and a ski boot warmer. Also on this floor is the cinema room with a squashy sofa, beanbags and floor cushions, Bose sound bar, 65 inch TV with French and English channels and a range of books and dvds. There is a shower room and WC on this floor plus a laundry room and a cosy nook under the stairs for reading or investigating the basket of board games and puzzles.
Upstairs on the first floor is an open plan living and dining area. Relax on the large L shaped sofa with a good book, or in a cosy arm chair with your feet up in front of the open fire, there is a Bose WiFi and blue tooth speaker and large dining table with comfy dining chairs for settling in over a fondue and a bottle or two. Doors on two sides open out onto the sunny terrace and garden where, in summer, the BBQ and outside dining area await. Also on this floor is the compact but well equipped kitchen. If you’re a coffee lover you’ll find a Nespresso machine and milk frother and if baking is your thing all the equipment you need and a kitchen aid mixer. Also on this floor is a WC and double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.
Head up the traditional wooden stairs and find four more bedrooms, a king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, another king size bedroom and two twin bedrooms, plus a family bathroom. There is access from three of the bedrooms directly out onto the balcony and of course mountain views from every window. Offered self catered or on an excellent half board basis to suit.
