Chalet Solar is a 5 star chalet comprising of 4 bedrooms with one en suite shower room and another 2 bathrooms with extra cloakroom, a mezzanine in the roof with 3/4 beds ideal for children, also up there is a TV, DVD and Playstation for their own space. Ideally located close to the slopes.
The living area has ample seating on 4 sofas a 36inch Plasma TV with surround sound and satellite TV. We have equipped the kitchen to a very high standard for anyone who loves to cook on holiday!
On the ground floor the hall is a very good size for getting togged up before skiing. It also has a laundry room with tumble dryer and washing machine, item the boot and drying room that will accommodate all wet and cold skier outfits.
The ski chalet is situated in the Aravis mountains 45 minutes from Geneva and 35 minutes from Annecy. The resort is at an altitude of 1000 m with over 220 km of pistes, linking it with La Clusaz. La Clusaz is also a 10 minute bus journey. The chalet is situated in a small village, above Le Grand Bornand called Le Chinaillon. This is at 1300 m and has the majority of the ski lifts along the valley.
The chalet is less than 100m from it’s first lift as you enter the ski area. This lift takes you high enough to break away to access many other areas and 500m from the infant garden E.S.F. and other ski lifts. When the conditions are good you can ski to the door.
The village is a 15min walk away, there are plenty of great restaurants, but the majority of facilities are in the main high street. Restaurants, bakers, spa etc which are typical of a ski resort village. Skiing is a great mix of easy through to one of the most infamous black runs in Europe! Most of the of the piste are east facing so the snow stays in good condition all season.
