Recently built by local craftsman, our ski chalet offers wonderful accommodation providing the ultimate alpine retreat. It is a contemporary mountain chalet designed to ensure an extremely high level of comfort for our guests and a fantastic chalet experience. It sleeps up 12 people in 5 beautiful en-suite bedrooms.
From the moment you arrive at our ski chalet, you are greeted with a warm welcome, a friendly personalised service and all the comforts of home, in a truly relaxing way. Situated just outside the idyllic alpine resort of Chatel in the massive Portes du Soleil ski area in the French Alps, France. Chalet Rustique is all you could hope from a luxury catered ski chalet – offering truly amazing ski accommodation. The open-plan design of the chalet is spacious and comfortable. All five of our en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished with all the little luxuries that will make your stay and your ski holiday especially comfortable.
The Chalet Accommodation:
The Living Area
The huge living area is spacious and open-planned, perfect for groups and families. There are 2 different sitting areas separated by a large log burning fire set in the middle of the room. With extremely comfortable sofas and a very relaxed ambience in the chalet, it is the perfect place to unwind after a hard day on the slopes. Sit and enjoy an après ski drink, put your feet up and read a book, or simply take in the amazing views of the Mont de Grange National Park just opposite the chalet.
The chalet also has a big screen TV with DVD player and SKY - a selection of DVD’s, board games and books - a Nintendo Wii with several games - CD player and Ipod docking station - Wifi internet connection throughout chalet - chalet computer with internet access, for guests to use. Please feel free to bring your own DVD’s and Wii games.
The Bedrooms
The chalet sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 cosy bedrooms all which can be made into either twin rooms or super-kings. Each bedroom is furnished to a very high standard, with its own en-suite. The bathrooms all have a deep bath for you to relax in after a hard day skiing, as well as a shower and a welcome pack of complimentary luxury toiletries by Cowshed.
It is important to us that our guests have the best night’s sleep when staying with us. We spent a lot of time choosing the right beds and the best linen to ensure you have the best chalet experience possible.
Each bedroom has an individually pocket sprung Relyon bed, the finest 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen by Peter Reed Luxury Linens, hairdryer, Ipod docking station, fluffy towels, bathrobes and complementary slippers.

Our Catering Service:
We have a passion for fine food and as such, like to make the dining experience at our chalet as important as the skiing. The emphasis is on preparing delicious and beautifully presented food, local and seasonal, with the freshest of ingredients we can source. From freshly made pasta to homemade ice creams we believe in taking no shortcuts. It is a luxury fine dining experience in the mountains.
Each morning, you begin the day with a full continental breakfast with warm croissants and pain au chocolates, a large selection of cereals, hot porridge, fresh fruit and much more.
After a day on the slopes, you will return back to the ski chalet to homemade cakes and biscuits, served with a drink of your choice.
The evening is then your time to sit back and relax, and enjoy a four course evening meal, served with carefully selected fine wines.
We are also able to cater for any special dietary requirements.
Please note that we have one night off during the week (generally a Wednesday), thereby giving you the chance to experience the many excellent local restaurants. We will be happy to advise you on these and make reservations.
