This spacious chalet over 4 floors, with complimentary Wi-Fi, is ideally located near the slopes and ski lift, giving easy access to the entire ski resort of Alpe d'Huez 'Les Grandes Rousses. The chalet, with its spacious balconies on the south and west, lies ideal for the sun until late in the day and has a great view of the Massif de Belledonne and the Eau d'Olle. At night the house is wonderfully quiet and yet just a few steps away from the centre, shops, bars and slopes, though the main nightlife is in the centre of Alpe d'Huez. Though sold self catered we can offer catering at a competitive price at home, and we also offer a great food delivery service offering pre cooked meals for you to reheat and eat
The chalet has an area of 220m2 and can accommodate 18 people. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a wood burning fireplace and a dining table for up to 16. The satellite TV includes English and international channels.The kitchen is equipped with all modern conveniences (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and four ring halogen hob and large inventory). A closet for skis and boots can be found in the entrance.
The chalet has 8 bedrooms all with twin beds (one also with an extra bunk bed) five bedrooms with views over the valley and three bedrooms with a view towards the slopes. There are seven full bathrooms. Tiled floors and electric radiators, all perfectly insulated with the chalet ensuring a warm bath or shower at any time and the lower floor offers a sauna and jacuzzi.
The area boasts more than 250 km slopes. For beginners and less experienced skiers, the area is ideal. Due to the high altitude and the large number of snow guns, the area is very snow-sure. There is snow almost always from early December until late April and you can almost ski back to the door.
Also, the area is suitable for all levels. Both beginners and experts can enjoy themselves here. For beginners, there are large "green areas" to practice on and for experienced skiers there are plenty of blue, red or black runs. The 14km Sarenne run is a beautiful black piste from the Pic Blancs at 3330 metres to 1250 metres Auris and is well known as the longest black run in the Alps.Non skiers can also reach a very large area with the gondola lifts.Ideal for family members who still want to experience the ultimate atmosphere of a resort without skiing.
