You’d struggle to find a more perfect base for a mountain holiday than this 4 star rated chalet, situated in a private drive just seven minutes walk from the centre of La Clusaz (and just a minute on skis!). It’s far enough from the village to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, but close enough to take advantage of the bars, restaurants and other facilities. If walking 7 minutes is an issue or its bad weather, the free ski bus stops less than 100m away from the chalet and it’s only a few steps further to the Nant piste, so you won’t waste any time getting on the slopes.
The chalet is semi-detached and is set over four floors, with stair gates and equipment for families with very young children. It would be ideal for two families holidaying together, or a group of friends. The property is, however, not suitable for those with limited mobility.Offered catered, self catered or with partial catering.
The property ...
Sleeping six adults and four children in five bedrooms (all with a TV and English and French satelite channels), there's plenty of room to find your own space.
Two families will find this an ideal base - there are two separate living rooms, three double bedrooms, one with an extra large bed, two twin rooms and three well-appointed bathrooms. In the evenings, the kids will be happy to watch films, listen to music or play computer games around the funky ethanol fireplace downstairs, while the adults relax around the open fire in the living area upstairs.
The large kitchen and dining room are also open plan, so cooking dinner can be a sociable affair! Furniture is modern and practical, with leather sofas, fur throws and natural wood, complemented by contemporary art and lighting.
There are two sunny balconies and two terraces, one of which has a jacuzzi with stunning views over the pistes - the perfect place to watch the sun go down on a fun-filled day in the Aravis!
About the area ...
The ski bus is less than 100m away, the Nant piste isn’t much further, and from there it’s just a minute’s ski to the ski school meeting point in Bossonet.
An Aravis ski pass will give you access to more than 200km of snow-sure pistes in La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand and Manigod, and there are plenty of cross-country trails to discover, too.
Non-skiers will have no time to be bored, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.
If you just want to relax, why not soak up the sun on the south-facing terrace or balcony, or soak in the jacuzzi as you admire the mountain views. Later, fire up the barbecue and plan the next glorious day in the Aravis mountains as the sun sets behind the mountains.
