Chalet Mahana is a self catering chalet located in Les Gets, Portes du Soleil in the beautiful French Alps, only an hour's drive from Geneva. The chalet is located close to the ski slopes. The old village is a 15 minute downhill walk, or you can take the free bus which picks up 200 metres from the chalet.
Chalet Mahana is a traditional wooden 4 bedroom chalet with log fire and a warm homely welcome for everyone whatever season you choose to visit. Ideally suited for families or groups up to 10 Chalet Mahana has a cosy open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen, large dining area, 3 bathrooms and a magnificent view.
The ground floor comprises an open plan living area with an open fire, a flat screen tv, French and English satellite channels, DVD player and a selection of DVDs to watch. If you prefer a more natural view french windows lead out to a large balcony with a beautiful view of Mont Chery and the valley as far as Cluses, which is 22 miles away by road. There is a well equipped kitchen with fan oven, microwave oven, hob, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, sink and storage for food. There is sufficient cutlery and crockery for 12 people. The ground floor also has a double bedroom and a bathroom with WC, shower and sink.
Off the living area is a dining area for 10 people. The dining area also has access to the balcony through french windows.
There is also a garden ideal as a play area for children. Outdoor seating and BBQ equipment are available in the summer.
The first floor comprises a mezzanine balcony, with easy chairs,and a bed settee, a bedroom which can be configured either as a double room with child's bed or as a twin room. This bedroom also has satellite tv. There is also a bathroom with WC, sink and bath.
The lower ground floor comprises a bedroom with a bunk bed,another bedroom with an upper double bunk and two single beds, a bathroom with shower, WC and double sink as well as a washing machine, tumble drier and two large hot water tanks (which provide a constant supply of hot water for all our guests). The lower ground floor also has a day room with plenty of storage for skis and equipment with french windows out to two car parking spaces and a magnificent view of Mont Chery.
