About Bormio
Bormio is a mountain village at 1225m above the sea level and it is one of the most famous Alpine centres for skiing and mountain sports. Its traditions are very ancient and typical of the mountain people. They have been handed down to the present time by its inhabitants who are fond of their history.
Bormio is located in a lovely valley and it is a beautiful place to spend your relaxing holidays. In winter it is well-known for its slopes perfectly covered by snow and its new, comfortable and fast cable cars and ski lifts. In spring its beautiful landscapes are the ideal place for Alpine skiers. You can enjoy skating in the modern Ice Rink.
In Bormio you can ski 12 months a year thanks to the nearby Stelvio Glacier which is the perfect place to spend your unforgettable days skiing during your summer holidays.
In summer you can enjoy exploring the Stelvio National Park the largest protected area in Europe. The botanical garden with its Alpine flora is worth a visit.
The best known Alpine and religious tradition is “I pasquali” at Easter which gathers many tourists to see the parade with Bormio’s typical costumes

BAGNI NUOVI
The”Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi” opened in 1836 and it was completely restored in 2000 so that nowadays you can admire it in its splendour.
BAGNI VECCHI
The “Bagni Vecchi” spa is about 3 km far from Bormio on the road to the Stelvio Pass . It is an ancient and attractive building with a scenic view on the valley of Bormio. The wellness centre, which is close to the Hotel “Bagni Vecchi” , includes 30 sections offering six different therapeutic, detoxifying, anti-stress and relaxing treatments. For many centuries the Roman baths have been very popular as a place for relaxing and dedicating to the body and soul care thanks to the health-giving properties of its water.
TERME DI BORMIO
The “Terme di Bormio Spa” receives its thermal waters from the “Cinglaccia” spring. The whole building was completely restored in 2004 and offers all the essential services for the body, health and soul comfort. There are two main sections: the first one for the sport activities (indoor and outdoor swimming pools and games) and the other one for relaxing and therapeutic treatments .

SKI & SNOWBOARD
The Ski area of Bormio includes the slopes of Mount Vallecetta and Mount San Colombano and they stretches for about km 80. The 24 new cable cars and modern ski lifts are available for skiers of different skill levels. Tourists can ski in summer too, thanks to the slopes of the Stelvio Glacier.
Close to Bormio you can visit other ski areas such as Livigno and Santa Caterina Valfurva.
GOLF
The nine-hole Golf Club Bormio stretches for km 4 and it is situated in a green area where you can admire the snow capped mountains which surround the valley.
BIKING
Bormio and its surroundings host some very famous paths for bikers too.
