Chalet Snowbel probably has the best location in Méribel of any individual chalet. It is two doors down from La Refuge restaurant, right in the centre of town. It is less than a minute to walk to the escalator that takes you onto the ski slope by the Tourist Office. From here, it is a very short ski to La Chaudanne, the main lift area of Méribel, with access to all three valleys. In the evenings, entertainment is virtually on your doorstep, with all of Méribel’s shops, restaurants and bars within a short stroll.
Chalet Snowbel has three bedrooms, all twins or doubles, with one of the rooms also having space for extra beds, for use as a family room. The chalet has two balconies and a large terrace where you can watch the sun disappear behind the mountains as you enjoy your après-ski drinks.
As you come in off the street, you come to the garage area which is used as our ski locker and boot warmer. The boot warmer turns on a couple of hours before you head out skiing, so your boots are perfectly warmed for you, and slide on as easily as a pair of comfy old slippers (well almost!) You then head up the stairs to the front door of the chalet itself. Off the entrance hall, you have Bedroom 1. This is the ensuite double / twin bedroom, with room for one or two more beds. It’s ideal for a couple, for three single adults, or two adults and two children. It has a balcony with views of Méribel and the mountains beyond. It has an ensuite shower room with shower, toilet and basin.
Also off the entrance hall, you'll find the main living and dining area. This is an open plan room with kitchen, dining area and living area. The living area seats 5 on the corner sofa. There’s a large flat-screen TV, with satellite Freeview channels, DVD player, and choice of DVDs. There’s also an iPod docking station. Off the living room is a balcony with views of Meribel and the mountains. There’s also a downstairs loo.
Stairs from the living area lead up to the second floor. Here there is access onto a large outdoor terrace with fine views of Meribel valley.
Bedroom 2 – this is an ensuite double / twin room. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with stand-up shower, toilet and basin.
Bedroom 3 – this is a very small room, currently set up as a twin or double. It's ideal for one adult, two children, or at a push a couple. Across the landing from Bedroom 3 is Bathroom 3 with bath, stand-up shower, toilet and basin.
